RG Club 3Match Rules

All Players shall be Male and at least 16 years of age.
Each Club shall host 1 weekend fixture per season requiring the First Tee to be reserved for up to 3 hours. The only exception to this will be for New Member Clubs who may be allowed to use a Bank Holiday Date in their first season only.
Match Postponements. If any club are forced to postpone a scheduled fixture they are required to give at least 14 days notice to the Secretary and agree a rearrangement date that does not clash with existing fixtures the penalty for failing to comply shall be loss of fixture and a League deduction of 3 points.
Match Abandonments. Once play has commenced the Host Club Official shall have the absolute right to suspend play and/or abandon the match. In such circumstances a result will be determined on the day as follows; if all games have completed 15 holes then 15 hole scores will be calculated and the winning team shall receive 6pts; if all games have completed 12 holes then 12 hole scores will be used and the winning team shall receive 5pts; if all games have completed 9 holes then 9 hole scores will be used and the winning team shall receive 4pts; if all games have completed 6 holes then 6 hole scores will be used and the winning team shall receive 3pts. If any game has not completed 6 holes then the entire fixture shall be declared void. In all cases of abandonment then the fixture will not be rearranged and scores will not be submitted for Handicap Adjustment.
All matches will be played in Stableford format off Full Handicaps. The Qualifying Handicap range is 16 to 28 however any player who has already played in that season off a Qualifying Handicap will be eligible to play for the remainder of the season even if his handicap is cut to below 16.
All matches will be played off the Yellow Tees at 7 or 8 minute intervals.
Each team will consist of 9 Players the best 7 scores forming the team total. If 2 teams finish with an equal total the best 8th score shall be used and if still equal the best 9th score to determine the finishing position. The team with the highest total shall be awarded 7pts then down to 1pt.
The Match Fee for 2012 will increase to £10.00 per player per match all of this going to the Host Club. No further increase in Match Fee will be considered until the 2015 season.
To qualify for the Individual Trophy an Individual must play in at least 4 fixtures from 7 available thereafter his average points from all matches shall be calculated. The highest scoring player from each Zone will contest the Individual Trophy on Finals day.
Any player who fails to submit a correct scorecard properly signed by both himself and his marker will be disqualified.
